Are you looking for GREAT Catholic books for your children or grandchildren?
We are passionate about teaching the Catholic Faith to our children. What better way to bring children to Jesus, than through fantastic Catholic books?

Favorite Catholic Picture Book:
Can You Find Jesus? Introducing Your Child to the Gospel
This book is similar to an I Spy or Where’s Waldo book, but with the Life of Jesus as the theme. Wonderful for preschool age and early elementary kids who are still learning to read, as they can still identify which images to search for. If you need a book to keep your little one quiet during Mass, this is perfect! We often get this book out during Lent, as it has pages dedicated to Palm Sunday, Last Supper and the Crucifixion.

What my kids say:
“It’s fun to find the pictures!” (age 8)
“It’s fun!” (age 6)
“I like to find everything that is in the book and it keeps you busy.” (age 9)
Favorite Saint Comic:
Saint Clare of Assisi – Runaway Rich Girl
This graphic novel is excellent for introducing Saint Clare and her friend Saint Francis to elementary and middle-school aged readers. The color graphics engage young and reluctant readers. My children devoured this and the other saint graphic novels and comic books available from this publisher. When they received them for Easter, they quickly read and traded them around!

What my kids say:
“It was really interesting and the art is really good. I liked learning about the miracle with the Blessed Sacrament. It was like she had super-powers!” (age 9)
“It’s a lot more interesting than just reading a normal saint book because of the visuals and stuff.” (age 13)
Favorite Catholic Chapter Book Series:
The Secret of the Shamrock
This is the first book in a terrific series for early elementary children called the Chime Travelers, by popular author and blogger Lisa Hendey. These books are similar to the Magic Tree House books, in that twin siblings Patrick and Katie travel through time. However, these two find themselves encountering saints!
In this first book, readers are introduced to Saint Patrick. One thing I like about these books is that Catholic life and teaching is incorporated throughout the story, including prayer, confession and of course St. Patrick teaches about the Trinity with a shamrock!
Consider getting this book for children who are making their First Reconciliation.

“I like it and I’m excited it’s a series, so I can read some more!” (age 8)
